What this book is about
This book is a scientific exploration on just what makes things go “viral”. The author, Joel Berger, has done an incredible amount of research and experiments into the subject and has backed up the subject of this book with so much evidence its hard to argue anything against his points.
Some valuable information
The author of this book breaks down the features of viral content into 6 basic principals he calls STEPPS. This acronym stands for Social Currency, Triggers, Emotion, Public, Practical Value and Stories. He later goes on to explain that it isn't necessary for content to cover all six principals to go viral, but the more the merrier.
Who I would recommend it to
I would recommend this book to anyone interested in branding, blogging or content marketing especially but could be good for anyone trying to build a social network or a marketing professional of any kind.
